Mrs. Lainie Kitzmiller has always understood the value of education and that the relationships educators build with their students can have a life-long positive influence on them. 

Mrs. Kitzmiller graduated from the University of Arizona with a B.F.A. in Art Education. She spent seven years as the art teacher at Desert Sky Middle School in the Vail School District located in Tucson Arizona. 

Mrs. Kitzmiller earned her Masters of Education in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University and served as the assistant principal at Empire High School in the Vail School District for eight years. During 2018-2019, she was named the State Assistant Principal of the Year by the Arizona School Administrators (ASA) and then went on to be a national semifinalist and then a finalist in the National Assistant Principal of the Year. (National Association of Secondary School Principals, NASSP).

In 2019 Mrs. Lainie Kitzmiller became the principal at Esmond Station, the school where both of her own children have attended since kindergarten. Education is truly a community effort and Mrs. Kitzmiller feels fortunate to serve our community.
