Linda Slade

Hello, Iron Horses! I was born and raised in Arizona, spending the majority of my life in Tucson.  I attended college at the University of Arizona with a degree in Elementary Education. A few years later, I received my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University.  I love to learn and hope to instill a love of learning in my students.

I student taught in Vail several years ago, and absolutely loved it.  I have been in the district ever since. I’ve taught 3rd and 5th grade, and currently, I am teaching STEAM and Advanced Math.  I have a passion for teaching math and science. I love doing projects with my students and seeing how many different solutions they can come up with to solve a problem.  Students never cease to amaze me with their creativity and their original ideas. I believe students need hands-on learning and problem-solving opportunities to reach their full potential.

Outside of school, I love to coach gymnastics, and sometimes participate in a gymnastics class! I love to go for walks, especially on Mt. Lemmon.  I love spending time with my nieces and nephews, and if I have any free time at all, you can find me with them. I love being a part of the Esmond Station family!
