Hello Families! I’m thrilled to begin my 4th year teaching 5th grade at Esmond Station! I love working alongside our amazing staff, students, and parents. 5th grade is an adventure, and I’m so lucky to be part of my students’ lives during this exciting year. Each year I find joy in building a strong classroom community where all students feel comfortable to learn and be themselves. I love to bring creativity and fun into our classroom while ensuring we grow each day as learners!
I grew up in Southern California and moved to Phoenix, AZ when I was entering middle school. I still miss summers spent at the beach! After high school, I headed to the University of Arizona, and I am so glad I did! I graduated with my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and later a Master’s degree in Special Education. I reflect on my education each day as I bring all I learned into our classroom!
I met my husband, Jake, when we were in college. He is a Tucson-native and we love living here in the desert! We have a 5 year old husky named Arlo. He keeps our little family very active! We love going on walks, traveling, cooking, and reading.
I love being a part of the Esmond Station family!
