Rick Fleming

I am an Army brat! I was born in Munich Germany on a military base, I followed the Fleming family tradition by joining the Army (Go Army) and spent 1983-1992 on Active Duty and 1992-1995 in the Reserves.

Ranger 1985-1992

Operation Just Cause 1989 (Panama)

Operation Desert Shield/Storm 1990 (Saudi Arabia, Iraq)

Operation RESTORE HOPE 1992 (Somalia)

After getting out of the military, I knew that teaching was my passion. I returned to school and attended Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona (Go Devils) for the 2nd. Time and earned a BA .Ed, majoring in Secondary education with a minor in History, I graduated December 2002

I have been married to my lovely wife for 26 years, and we have a son Patrick who attended Esmond Station and is currently a 10thgrader at Cienega High (Go Bobcats). Our family loves sports, especially football and wrestling, which Patrick plays and I am a coach. We enjoy any outdoor activity. In my spare time I am a competitive Cowboy action shooter, with the highlight winning several state championships.

My goal is to make each day fun and interesting so that students maintain motivation to acquire the knowledge they need to succeed. Each student will learn through practical application. As I believe that the purpose of education is to teach future generations basic skills to lead the world. This will be my 17th year teaching and I cannot be more excited!
